Sogossira Sanou Municipal Museum

The Bobo-Dioulasso Provincial Museum, housed in a restored colonial building, is dedicated to preserving the cultural heritage of the Hauts-Bassins region. As the country’s second-largest museum, it offers a comprehensive overview of the history and cultures of western Burkina Faso.

Located near the historic Sya neighborhood, the museum features collections that reflect the cultural diversity of the region, home to the Bobo, Dioula, Senufo, Toussian, and many other peoples.

The museum also plays an active role in the local community by organizing temporary exhibitions, lectures, and cultural events throughout the year.
